big lips, while
you lick

the syrup
off of the fork
that was dripping
from your pancakes

you made

knowing this
depiction of the
Black woman
was degrading

American racism
is so amazing!

A Black girl,
unknowingly,
could begin hating
herself because
of images like
this.

Red lipstick on a
wide mouthed smile;
Diluting her true
African profile

You chose
to use this
picture to
sale your
product

Even when
race is a social
construct

Just say,
admit, that
you didn't
give a fuck!

Smiling mammies
on bottles, smiling
Toms on boxes of
rice. Just for being
Black we continue

to pay the price.
